I bet when you hear the word “Tuscany” you imagine cypress alleys, medieval towns, florentine steak, Renaissance paintings and foggy hills in sunrise.

There will be mysterous paths amont ancient Etruscan villages, frescoes in an old family-run monastery where you will stay a night, thermal pools and cozy farms. Just be ready for a new load of unforgettable experience!

Trekking Tour day by day

What to expect:
At 9.00 we will leave Florence. As the minivan ventures into Tuscan countryside, we will see the landscape change drastically and will start fidgetting on the seat anticipating the trekking tour more and more.
Those curvy cypress alleys you normally see on the postcards and in films. And hooray, we will walk one of them!
Pienza, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy with its paved roads, colourful souvenir shops, singing church bells and gelato italiano melting in your hands
A family-run hotel surrounded by a garden with citron trees, a swimming pool and prosecco opening sound
The Orcha valley with its famous landscapes
What to expect:
Fantastic sunrise above thermal baths: bubbling water in pale ochre morning mist and burning scarlet sky
Bagno Vignoni, a unique town with a thermal pool as its very centre
Tiring hiking up and down the Tuscan hills, for hours and hours – definitely the toughest day of the trekking tour
A picknick among the Tuscan hills with pictoresque farms scattered all around
Late evening bathing in the thermal pools of Bagno Filippi, the more pleasant the more you realise how many kilometers you’ve covered this day!
What to expect:
The coziest agriturismo with the friendliest owner I’ve ever met in Italy. There is no way you do not love it! And the home-made food is absolutely delicious! (Don’t torture te cook for the receipts, you should grow the ingredients first :))
Radicofani, a medieval borgo full of flowers and charm
An enigmatic pyramide in a private garden. What will you feel atop?
What to expect:
Struggling your way through the bushes feeling yourself a real explorer
Abbadia San Salvatore, another borgo smelling of wood in the fireplaces and wild boar ragu
Forests with leaves rustling under your feet
An old monastery, where we will stay a night and where the owner herself will introduce us to the medieval frescoes, hidden passageways and monastic sells
Dinner in the refectory
What to expect:
In the morning we move further into the region and find ourselves in different Tuscan reality.
Narrow passageways dug right through the tuff blocks
The mysteries of the Etruscan civilization and their uphill towns
…and Sorano itself with its maze of tiny streets
The most beautiful view of Sorano
Chill out in the hotel swimming pool after another day of hiking
What to expect:
Abandoned Etruscan settlements
The most pictoresque of the existing Etruscan town – Pitigliano
New paths wit enigmatic signs and inscriptions on the tuff walls
Sovana and its churches
Typical local food, just to make sure you know what Tuscan cuisine is by the end of the trekking tour
What to expect:
St. Peter and Paul cathedral in Sovana and a mermaid with two tails
The most significant Etruscan tombs
Coming back in time and enjoying cipress alleys again
The lust lunch in the middle of the Tuscan hills
An evening swim in the pool where the famous Sturnia thermal spring comes from
The best hotel and spa resort of the region
Slow breakfast, and we are ready to leave.

You can choose either way depending on your return flight.
At the Orbetello train station the group usually divides: some go towards Rome, some go to Pisa.
There are almost no tourists at this hour and we can immerge ourselves not only in the hot water, but also into the fairylike atmosphere of the place.
Early in the morning we wake up to see the sunrise by the Saturnia thermal pools.
