What's the first thing that comes to mind when we say “Dolomites”? Snow-covered peaks of gargantuan mountains? Steep rocky slopes and emerald lakes? Deafening silence? All of that is true, but the Dolomites have so much more to offer.

What to expect:
At 8:00 you meet your guide and the group at Venezia Santa Lucia train station and set off on a new journey with a private transfer. Say goodbye to misty Venice - you'll see it again in five days, but by then, you'll be a different person.

Getting to know the morning routine in the mountains: queues outside the bathrooms, sleepy faces, fantastic local yoghurt, rummaging for your trekking boots in a pile of others’, and chilly, almost crisp air outside.
Your first mountain pass with a stunning view and your next hut as a tiny spot on the horizon.
Picnic by the lake under the Tofane peaks.
A long and strenuous ascent, rewarding you with a deep sense of satisfaction and a magnificent view at the top.
12km, +1200m, - 450m
Lagazuoi, one of the most legendary huts in the Dolomites.

What to expect:
A sunrise you're bound to remember (fingers crossed for the weather): crimson sky and clouds below your feet.
Cinque Torri – the Five Towers, a place full of mystique and history from the First World War.
Your best lunch on the route. If you're not tempted to lick your fingers after these dishes, lunch is on us! Oh wait, it is on us already? Never mind - you’ll love it anyway!
A family-run mountain house (I simply can’t bring myself to call it a hut), which sleeps… just 10 of us.

The alpine jingle of bells from the lazy cows along the way.

A morning walk around the lake.
The final, never-ending descent back to civilisation.
Cortina d’Ampezzo with its Olympic glory.
The final lunch and a final toast to new adventures.
